Unfortunately it is not technically possible for us to send a confirmation immediately after receiving your deposit. However, if you send us an e-mail, we will gladly confirm the receipt of your payment in writing. Please note that the receipt may take a few days, so we request that you contact us for a confirmation of receipt only a few days after payment.

Unfortunately, we have been hearing from our guests for several months that Gmail users receive incorrect data in Google Calendar for their stay. This is done fully automatically by Gmail.

After a thorough investigation by our software supplier, it appears that this error lies with Google Gmail, their software contains an error that causes them to misread our confirmations, which are not wrong with anything.

Usually this takes the form of putting data in Google Calendar with a stay of 1 night, exactly one night before the actual booked stay. Recently we have also heard that sometimes Gmail indicates that you have booked at Hotel In den Brouwery, while you have booked another accommodation. This is again because Google reads our office address, Brouwerijweg 6, as an accommodation address, which is incorrect. The reserved accommodation is listed under your reservation, not in the salutation / address details

Naturally, we and our software supplier have asked Google to rectify this, as the problem appears to be worldwide and cannot be solved in any way by us or our supplier. Unfortunately, they have not yet responded to this.

We find the confusion very annoying, of course, for both you and us. We prefer to ask you not to work with a Gmail address when booking, in addition to this problem, there has always been the problem that Gmail too much e-mail qualifies as SPAM, so our confirmations often do not arrive.

Have you booked with a Gmail address and are you experiencing this problem? Please check the confirmed data first in your online confirmation (from Stardekk Logismanager) and then the data in our own confirmation (from Vreeke Hotels & Logementen). If these are correct, there is nothing wrong and you only have to do with the software error from Google. You can ignore this, you do not have to contact us about this, of course we would appreciate it if you would also report this problem to Google yourself to induce them to repair this software error.

Since January 1, 2019, the earlier early booking / regular guest discount has been converted into a discount when booking online. If you make your booking yourself online via the "reserve" button instead of by telephone or e-mail, you will immediately be rewarded with a € 5.00 discount per night.

Unfortunately, there is no possibility to calculate this discount if you do not book online yourself. This discount is an amount of saved labor that we would like to share with you. The work must then of course be saved, which is not the case with telephone or manual bookings.

According to our license, we can only allow extra people in certain rooms.

In Hotel Bosch en Zee you can in the Studio Landzijde and in Hotel In den Brouwery in the Hotelstudio Kat. E stay with 3 people. You can book these rooms directly online for 3 people.

The rate for an extra person is a reimbursement for the extra night including breakfast. An extra bed will then be made available to you. If you do not wish to make use of this, this naturally has no consequences for the applicable rate for an extra person.

Children up to 2 years of age come without extra charge, it is sufficient to state in the comments that a child up to 2 years is traveling with you, children from 5 years old are required at the rate for an extra person. For children between 2 and 5 years you can request the rate from us, it is not mandatory for these children to book an extra bed.

Please note that all studios have separate beds and it is therefore very uncomfortable to let an extra child sleep in the existing beds. We strongly advise against this. When you change your mind during your stay there is not always the possibility to place an extra bed!

In addition to our €5.00 discount when booking online via our own website, a hefty discount has already been calculated in the rates offered via www.vreekehotels.nl. Our standard rates are offered by, among others, Booking.com, HRS and Expedia. In addition to the €5.00, you already have a €5.00 to €20.00 per night discount on these rates via our website, depending on the period in which you are staying.

We already offer these high discounts as standard for all guests who book directly, in total this increases to a maximum of € 25.00 per accommodation per night discount. Unfortunately, we therefore do not offer additional discounts or discount promotions.

If you travel alone, we can offer you a few single rooms at Hotel In den Brouwery. These rooms are somewhat smaller and therefore lower priced.

In the low season you can also book double rooms for single occupancy in selected periods. We do not offer this option in the mid and high season, where all rooms must be rented out at full occupancy and room price.

Of course it is possible to stay with one person in a double room, but unfortunately, if no special price is offered online, no discounts can be given. An often advanced argument is that there are savings on energy, water and breakfast. However, these are marginal costs of a hotel, the largest costs are in staff and cleaning. Unfortunately, this is not saved for single use.

Unfortunately, we do not make options, on the one hand because of the nature of the rental (many unique homes and rooms, with the same 100 units it is much simpler) and on the other hand because nowadays everything is rented online. This means that all accommodations can be booked online 24/7 and it is therefore impossible to set up blockades here.

We are very pleased that you have chosen our accommodation to celebrate your special occasion!

Because we only offer hotel garni companies (i.e. we only offer overnight accommodation with breakfast) and therefore do not offer a restaurant or bar, we have little choice in special items.

However, we are happy to get what is possible from our local suppliers especially for you! If you want something special in the room, let us know exactly what you want and what it may cost. We are happy to arrange this for you.

Based on availability and if possible in terms of crowds / staffing.

There are two options;

You book directly via www.vreekehotels.nl, by telephone or by e-mail;

With every hotel booking we request the guest to pay 50% of the amount (for short stays at least 1 night) within 30 days after making the booking. If you book within 30 days before arrival, we request that you pay the deposit within 48 hours.

With every apartment/holiday home (Les Maisons) booking, we ask the guest to pay 50% of the amount (for short stays minimum 1 night) within 30 days after making the booking. Then you pay the remainder by bank transfer no later than 3 weeks before arrival. If you book within 21 days before arrival, we request that you pay the entire amount within 48 hours.

You book through an online travel agency such as Booking.com or HRS:

According to the conditions of your travel agency, you pay within a few days (period stated in your confirmation) 100% of the rent. Your credit card information is therefore not required, but your travel agency may still request it to prevent fraud. We will send you a payment request to your Booking.com e-mail address upon instruction of Booking.com, as soon as payment is due. If you provide us with your own e-mail address in advance, we will preferably send it directly to you. As long as we do not have your own details, you should keep an eye on your Booking.com message box yourself.

Payments within the SEPA (practically the entire Eurozone) usually arrive within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, from January 1, 2021 we cannot debit your deposit from the credit card due to stricter regulations of Mastercard and Visa, unfortunately a credit card may no longer be used for this.

Payment in our accommodations is made in cash or by Maestro / V-Pay card. Unfortunately it is not possible to pay with a credit card. Some external travel agencies require you to be guaranteed with a credit card, but that does not mean that you also pay with this. We as the lessor determine our payment options ourselves and assume that you will be informed about this before booking.

In all our accommodations it is forbidden to smoke inside.

If we find that smoking is taking place during a stay, additional cleaning costs will be charged.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible for us, especially with accommodations where no staff is present, to determine whether someone is not following the rules during their stay. We are therefore not liable for any remaining odors from previous tenants.

However, the cases that a guest does not follow the house rules are very rare, but as you will understand, the human factor means we can never give guarantees that smoking has not taken place.

You can also reserve a beach cabin with your booking. Issue points for the keys are Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee.

At both hotel receptions you can also rent beach cabins during your stay. We offer cabins on both the Westerstrand (Oase pavilion) and Oosterstand (Stenen Toko pavilion). As of 2022, there will also be one cabin available at Dog Beach West for our guests who travel with a dog, please inquire about availability.

Depending on the location, you will receive the key at one of the hotel receptions. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will get a specific location, but we are happy to note your preference. You rent a beach cabin per day, you can collect your key in the morning and return it on your last day before closing time. We ask you to pay attention to this so that you do not unnecessarily occupy the beach cabin for subsequent tenants.

During the high season it is only possible to rent a beach cabin if you have also booked accommodation with us. We do not rent out specific numbers, but you can let us know if you would like to rent on the Wester or Oosterstrand, then we will do our best. From the 2021 season, we will also have a booth at Dog Beach West available for dog owners, please inquire about this specifically.

You can check in from 3 p.m. on your arrival day. On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate the room before 11 a.m. For late check-in and parking your car earlier or longer, please refer to the articles on these subjects.

When you book online via www.vreekehotels.nl you can reserve a beach cabin directly with your stay. Have you already booked? Send us your reservation number by e-mail and we will be happy to reserve a beach cabin for you.

Please note that beach cabins are only offered when booking through our own channels. If you book through a third party such as Booking.com, it is only possible to book a cabin on site.

Because our beach cabins are a service to our bathers, it is unfortunately not possible to reserve a beach cabin without reserving an accommodation within our group.

The receptions of Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee open during the season (approximately 1.4 to 1.11) until 6 p.m.

If you wish to arrive after closing time, please contact the reception by telephone on your arrival day around 4 p.m., you will receive a personal code with which you can retrieve your key 24 hours a day from the present key safe. You can therefore check in 24 hours a day.

Our beach cabins are located on the main beaches of Domburg, unfortunately we cannot reserve specific cabin numbers or beaches. However, please state your preference.

Unfortunately we do not have beach cabins on the dog beach.

Our cabins are equipped with 2 sun loungers, windshield, table, bench, broom, shelf and coat rack. In addition, our cabins are equipped with an extra sun bed.

We want to give everyone a happy holiday. If you have a pet allergy it is very important that you inform us. Pets can come anywhere in our accommodations (except Villa Elisabeth).

When your allergy is known to us, we will try to arrange you in such a way that you have a room where there have been no pets for as long as possible and we will clean the room extra well.

Because we unfortunately experience a lot of abuse of our goodwill, it is possible that we will ask you for proof of your allergy. We ask for your understanding.

We ask that you book directly with such special requests at all times and not through travel agencies such as Booking.com or HRS. They only reserve our last room for filling, it is not possible to express preferences or special wishes here.

Unfortunately, there have been more and more booking and review websites on the internet in recent years. Often completely controlled by algorithms and connected to major parties such as Google or Booking.com. They try to have you book through these websites for a piece of commission.

The problem is that these websites are increasingly spreading incorrect information and the conditions are not communicating properly. Almost always with higher rates and worse conditions than directly at the hotel. The result is often being stuck with a booking, even though you have not met the conditions or have been misled by incorrect information. Consider the rules regarding taking your dog, the options for parking, check-in times and facilities in our hotels.

It is a continuous process to detect these websites with incorrect information and to request them to stop spreading the wrong information. However, as you will understand, we depend on these websites for this. For this reason we therefore strongly disclaim liability if third parties distribute incorrect information about our company and you do not book through our website, but your booking does not meet the conditions. You should assume that the only correct information can be found on www.vreekehotels.nl, the official website. If you book directly, you can always fall back on this, we are responsible for the information on this website.

Dogs are allowed in Hotel In den Brouwery, Hotel Bosch en Zee and in most properties of Les Maisons Vakantiewoningen (except Brouwerijweg 35, Ewout van Dishoeckstraat 9/11 upper floors).. We allow a maximum of 1 dog per accommodation. Please note that in Hotel In den Brouwery no dogs are allowed in the rooms type A, C and F.

As of January 1, 2022, we will allow dogs in more rooms than before. This has the advantage that with direct booking it is no longer mandatory to manually request whether you can stay with a dog, as long as you indicate the dog online by selecting the "with dog" option. In the unlikely event that there is no room available where you can stay with your dog, you will hear from us in the short term. Make sure that you book the correct room type at Hotel In den Brouwery. The applicable rate is immediately calculated when booking online.

It is possible that when you book via an external website, the price for a dog is not shown and differs from the rates via our own website. Please note that due to the automated working method of online travel agencies (they normally book a room where no dogs are allowed) such as Booking.com, you must always discuss your stay with a dog here in advance. They ask you to contact them or us first and then inform you about the possibilities with the rate. Currently Booking.com charges €15.00 per night for a dog.

We always advise you to book directly via our own website for the lowest rate.

Please note that dogs are not allowed in your accommodation in areas with carpet and on furniture. These are of course not allowed in the bedrooms in holiday homes. If we find that these rules are being violated during cleaning, you may be charged extra cleaning costs. We appreciate it if you follow these rules and keep the rented accommodation tidy for yourself and other guests.

Immediately after booking you will receive a confirmation from the online reservation system that your booking has been passed on to us. We will then send you the official confirmation within 24 to 48 hours. Please note that your booking is already final immediately after making the booking.

If your official confirmation, which starts with the letter R, has not arrived, you can contact us. Pay attention; check your spam filter or junk e-mail folder before contacting us. Especially with Hotmail and Gmail addresses due to the strict settings of these providers, many e-mails do not arrive.

Dogs are almost always allowed  in;

Hotel In den Brouwery, Kat. B Compact room, Kat. D Family studio and Kat. E Hotel studio. In Hotel Bosch & Zee in both room types.

When you book directly, your dog can almost always come with you. The condition is that you book through us (website, e-mail, telephone) and indicate the dog immediately. You respect the problems which allergies cause to other guests and you help us by discussing your stay with the dog in advance. If you mistakenly did not discuss your dog in advance, we would be happy to see if we can still transfer you. So you stay within the same room type, but you will be transferred to the correct floor.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room during breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience is that many guests cannot appreciate the presence of a dog.

If this causes problems, it is always possible to take breakfast to the room.

In Hotel Bosch en Zee you are allowed to pass through the breakfast room with your dog, as the main entrance can unfortunately only be reached through the breakfast room. It is appreciated if you take the entrance through the basement with your dog during breakfast times.

In Hotel In den Brouwery, Hotel Bosch en Zee and B&B Villa Elisabeth, we request that you leave the room before 11 am.

At the holiday homes of Les Maisons this is 10 am.

Our receptions are generally open from 8 am if you wish to leave early.

In the early and late season, based on availability, it is possible to book a late check-out at € 35.00. You may then leave the room or house no later than 6 pm. Please note, this is only possible if the accommodation is not rented out immediately after you. Usually we can only offer this definitively shortly before departure.

Wel offer two charging points at Hotel In den Brouwery.

Guests of our other accommodations can also charge their EV here, you must then reserve a parking space at Hotel In den Brouwery (€5.00 per night), you can book this directly online. If you are staying in a different accommodation, please state that you are booking this place for electric charging, because otherwise this parking space is exclusively intended for guests of Hotel In den Brouwery.

We cannot guarantee that the charging station is available. It has been agreed with the provider, Agrisnellaad, that normal cars may also park at the EV loading bays when fully occupied. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience. Most of the time, however, the places will be available.

Of course you can also charge at one of the various charging points from Agrisnellaad, EV-Box or Allego in the public parking spaces of Domburg. We also expect to open 6 charging stations in our parking lot at Traverse 3 during spring 2023, we are here waiting for a large-scale consumer connection, which unfortunately has a long waiting time.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow you to charge your car from a normal power outlet at our accommodations. The wiring is often not designed for a continuous peak load and there is a possible fire hazard. In addition, large amounts of electricity are often charged, which cannot be made transparent for us and can therefore be passed on.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to reserve specific room numbers, because we want to keep our rates low, we therefore do not reserve room numbers or floors. You can always give us your preference, we will do our very best for you. We need at least 3 room numbers to give it a reasonable chance of success. However, there is never a guarantee.

Pay attention; we can only offer this service if you book directly through us and not via Booking.com, HRS or Check24.

To understand why a commitment is impossible, it is important that you know that any preferences and wishes can only be checked manually on the day of arrival. This means that we depend on which room is changing that day and can book according to preferences.

We do not see room numbers in advance, but our system only reserves a room within the desired room type. Our employees are therefore only aware of which room the system assigns you on the day of arrival.

Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee are both hotel garni, which means that we only have facilities for breakfast. Unfortunately, both hotels do not have a bar and / or restaurant. Simple drinks are of course available at the reception.

B&B Villa Elisabeth is situated in a private house, where it is only allowed to serve breakfast. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to sell drinks here.

If your trip goes better than planned, it is of course nice if you can check in earlier!

In our hotels we like to see if your room is ready for use earlier. Please note that our staff are still busy cleaning up breakfast until 1 p.m. / 2 p.m. and therefore are not always at the counter immediately. Early check-in is a service, not a matter of course, please bear this in mind when dealing with staff. If you arrive before 12:00 it is almost always impossible to park and check in, we ask you not to report to the hotel yet, because this unnecessarily burdens our breakfast employees.

Unfortunately, this is not possible with holiday homes, as there is no staff on site. We use a cleaning company which cleans many homes between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Unfortunately, in the agreements with this company, we are not allowed to call the cleaning ladies whether a certain house has already been cleaned. Check-in is therefore only possible after 3 p.m.

At the hotels there is usually sufficient parking space, but if you arrive at a holiday home earlier than the free parking spaces are often still needed for the cleaning company and / or maintenance staff. We therefore ask you not to park your car before 3 pm at the holiday home. There are various public parking options in Domburg.

The hotel world is very digitized. On the one hand this stems from necessity, on the other also from the wishes of the modern guest.

For example, we have been using variable prices since 2018, so there are no longer any fixed price lists. We set basic prices prior to the season, but these are both manually and automatically adjusted to, among other things, weather forecasts, occupancy forecasts and various other matters.

This means that different rates may apply for the same room at different times. Sometimes the price is higher, other times it may be lower.

As you will understand, it is not possible to make a later claim if prices have fallen. You book a room at the current rate. Conversely, we do not increase the rates even if you have booked early and have a sharper rate than currently applies.

You are very welcome with your little one! However, we would like to be informed in advance of the presence of small children. In this way we try to meet everyone's wishes and to limit nuisance.

When booking you can add a baby cot. Please note, this concerns a folding bed for which you must bring your own bed linen. If you do not want a baby cot, you can only book for the number of people older than 2 years and noting your baby in the comments.

Both Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee have a lift. Please note that in both hotels the third floor is unfortunately not accessible by elevator (Hotel In den Brouwery type F, Hotel Bosch and Zee three Studios of both types). In Hotel In den Brouwery you may also have to take a few steps to reach your room due to height differences in the building. Please inquire about the best option if you visit us with a walker or wheelchair.

B&B Villa Elisabeth and the Les Maisons holiday homes do not have a lift.

We recently received questions about bookings made via the website "Check24".

We as an accommodation do not work together with this, unknown to us, party. We understand that they work together with the travel agency Booking.com. When you book through Check24, your booking will be handled by Booking.com against their conditions and rates. Booking.com has a policy of non-cancellable rates with 100% prepayment by bank.

However, we understand that Check24 incorrectly states that you would pay with your credit card. Check24 has been addressed by Booking.com for spreading this incorrect information and will remove it. Check24 can, if desired, confirm to you via their customer service that you must make 100% prepayment by bank.

As of 2022, we will introduce paid parking at the accommodation. This means that you have to reserve a parking space in advance for a small fee.

On the one hand, access control is necessary due to an increase in illegal parkers, double parking and guests who leave the car for too long without permission. On the other hand, unfortunately, due to municipal policy, our options for parking guests of cars have to be adjusted. At our other hotel, Hotel Bosch en Zee, 17 parking spaces will be cancelled, which we can move to the outskirts of Domburg. This forces us to price the different parking options, because not everyone can be offered the same option.

At the same time, we are faced with technical limitations when reserving places via our website, which means that it is not possible to leave parking at Hotel In den Brouwery unpriced.

Our rates for 2022 take into account that parking will be priced, despite an expected inflation of 5% to 9% in 2022, we will only implement a price increase of 0 to 5%, depending on the period. Any existing bookings do not have to pay extra for a parking space, we will already book it for you at no cost.

During the season we are usually fully booked, which means that new guests also like to park their car on time. You are entitled to the car park until your check-out time. There is ample opportunity for public parking in Domburg.

If you stay with us during the low season, you can inquire at the desk whether it is possible to leave your car longer if the accommodation is not full. Or sometimes we also offer late checkout packages, including parking.

Unfortunately, we do not offer insurance ourselves. Hotels are not allowed to offer insurance, only cancellation funds. Unfortunately, the risks of this are too great and therefore not appropriate for our size. There are many insurers where you can take out a continuous travel insurance for €40.00 per person per year. Please inquire with your insurance agent.

With hotel and B&B reservations you pay a percentage of the booking as your stay approaches. Please note that the Les Maisons holiday homes cannot be canceled.

For the cancellation conditions, please refer to the cancellation conditions under "your stay".

Prevent a lot of annoyance for us, but especially for yourself, by taking out cancellation- and travelinsurance. We are forced to strictly apply the cancellation conditions.

The sending of medical statements or proof of hospitalization is not necessary. You have to cover your risks through insurance, as you will understand, as a hotel we cannot take over your risk and / or damage.

We are of course happy that you found us via an external website. However, these companies apply their own rates and conditions for bookings in our accommodations. You choose your own rate and associated conditions.

Cancellation or alteration will therefore be made at all times through the company where you have booked and under the conditions under which you have booked there. Unfortunately it is not possible to approach us to make exceptions to this.

Please note that for an accommodation a rebooking is equal to a cancellation, because a loss from the past can no longer be made up in the future, because the empty room can no longer be occupied with retroactive effect.

We always advise you to book directly for the best rates and conditions.

We understand that it is annoying if you incur costs for a cancellation.

We therefore point out in the booking conditions that you must at all times take out travel and cancellation insurance; the risks of a cancellation lie with the guest.

You will avoid a lot of annoyance to yourself, but above all to the accommodation, if you follow this urgent advice. Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests for waiver of costs.

Please note that for an accommodation a rebooking is equal to a cancellation, because a loss from the past can no longer be made up in the future, because the empty room can no longer be occupied with retroactive effect.

Sometimes we are also pointed out that it should be possible to rent the room to someone else. Above all, we would like to emphasize that this is not up to the guest to set and the introduction of this point is therefore not appreciated. What is also important to understand, however, is that cancellation costs actually form a premium that must cover vacant rooms throughout the year. After all, a room is often no longer rented out, for which, for example, only 20% or 40% cancellation costs have been paid. When it is stated that we should not charge any costs for re-letting, it is in fact also stated that in the latter situation we should still charge 100%. In other words, it implies that all prices should be fully refundable or non-refundable. We prefer a graduated scale linked to the average damage we suffer over all cancellations in a year.

Unfortunately, it is therefore not possible to refund or credit (part of) the cancellation costs for any rooms that are still rented out.

By way of illustration, we would like to inform you that in 2020 and 2021 we processed hundreds of thousands of euros in cancellations, which were subsequently not re-let.

It is of course very annoying if you test positive for covid-19 shortly before arrival. In the Netherlands, a PCR test is no longer mandatory in this phase of the pandemic, but you are still advised to stay at home.

However, this does not mean that the cancellation conditions no longer apply to your booking. These kinds of risks can be covered by the guest himself, almost every travel insurance policy covers covid contamination shortly before arrival since January 2022. You will then receive a refund from your insurance company for the cancellation costs incurred. We will of course provide you with the necessary documentation. This of course means that in a legal sense there is no question of force majeure; it is a risk to be covered.

It makes no sense to send us proofs of contamination and the like, this does not release you from the obligations arising from the rental agreement.

If you do not feel comfortable traveling and the associated risks during these times, we advise you not to make a booking. Unfortunately, for stable business operations in tourist hotels, it is not possible to offer you the option to cancel until the day of arrival (which you can cover yourself through your travel insurance).

UPDATE October 2022; We are currently reaching a lot of requests to make an exception to the cancellation conditions due to a covid-19 contamination. Unfortunately, we have found that the urgent request for insurance is rarely heeded. Once again we emphasize that an accommodation cannot and may not be expected to take over the financial damage caused by not insuring the guest. Unfortunately, the cancellation conditions are always applied.

In April 2020, a few weeks after introducing measures against the spread of Covid-19, we started a special promotion to compensate guests who incurred cancellation costs in the period from March 15, 2020 to May 1, 2020. Everyone who was eligible for the promotion received an email with an explanation and conditions.

In short, the promotion means that you can spend the amount you paid in cancellation costs again in a period when the hotel will not be fully booked. This last condition is important because the cancellation costs were rightly levied at the time, we were open as a hotel accommodation and therefore the guest's choice to cancel was voluntary. At the same time, we understand the considerations and are therefore happy to accommodate you. Logically, this is only possible on days when we do not rent out a room or apartment regularly (paying).

Four years later, 97% of guests have already taken advantage of the promotion, most of them directly in 2020 or 2021 and for others we have always had periods in December and January. Even though almost everyone has taken advantage of the promotion, we want to continue this promotion to give everyone the opportunity to take advantage of the discount. That is why we will continue the promotion in the coming years, on request, in November, December, January and February on weekdays. We regret when you have to go home earlier during your vacation due to illness or other circumstances.

We would like to point out that, precisely in order to prevent these situations, we strongly advise you to take out travel insurance in our conditions. These can already be taken out for a few euros per week and cover a possible earlier departure.

This prevents a lot of annoyance for us, but especially for yourself.

We hope that you understand, all the more so because we indicate through our terms and conditions that you are responsible for insurance, that we as a hotel cannot bear your deductible and / or damage associated with an earlier departure. Unfortunately, there is therefore no possibility of a refund of the rent.

You can store your bicycles with each accommodation. Sometimes in an enclosed space, sometimes in the garage, sometimes in a covered garage. Bicycle parking is usually not lockable, but it is safe.

At Hotel Bosch en Zee you can park your bicycles under the building in the parking basement.

At Hotel In den Brouwery there is a covered bicycle shed in the parking lot, out of sight. Here you can secure your bicycles with a chain, if you wish.

We hardly know any crime in Domburg and electric bicycles are common in the Netherlands and are therefore not considered valuable by thieves. So you don't have to worry that your belongings are not safe.

You can reserve bicycles directly with your booking, please note that we only offer this service with direct booking through our own channels and not through travel agencies such as Booking.com. Issuing points are Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee. We only rent standard city bikes.

At both hotel receptions you can also go for carts or bicycle rental during your stay, even if you have booked through a travel agency.

Bicycles are rented per day, we therefore ask you to return the key before closing time of the reception, or otherwise at 08:00 in the morning.

Of course we try to assist with your (necessary) needs and wishes so that you can also use the breakfast buffet! Our breakfast buffet in the hotels consists of a large selection of products, so that there are already sufficient options for almost all people.

However, our concept, belonging to our 3 stars, does not provide a standard range of gluten-free, sugar-free or other adapted products, as you often see in luxury hotels. We ask for your understanding.

Of course you can always take personal products with you, the kitchen will be happy to prepare them for you. Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a completely free choice of all nowadays available products with this service. We ask for your understanding for this. We ask that you order gluten-free sandwiches by e-mail at least 3 days before your stay, as we need to pre-order this from our breakfast supplier. Unfortunately, if you order too late, we cannot guarantee that gluten-free bread is available for you.

Because we unfortunately experience a lot of abuse of our good will, it is possible that we ask you for proof of your allergy. We ask for your understanding.

Our breakfast buffet has a wide selection of products. Even if you like to eat vegetarian, you have plenty of choice of products. If you only want to have a vegan breakfast, the choice is unfortunately more limited, most products are unfortunately related to animals somewhere. Of course you can contact the kitchen for information about the exact ingredients of our breakfast products. Unfortunately we do not offer special vegan products at our buffet.

A studio is simply one room with sleeping accommodation and a kitchenette to prepare simple things. In the kitchennettes you will find some pans, plates, cutlery, bowls, etc. Everything to prepare simple things. For extra bedrooms or a full kitchen with full inventory, you can book holiday homes or apartments through Les Maisons.

Coffee machine (Nespresso or Senseo) and kettle are standard in all rooms, so also in studios.

In our hotels you have access to 27 additional German channels via satellite. In total, in addition to the Dutch, Flemish and some other international channels, you have 30 German-language channels at your disposal.

In B&B Villa Elisabeth and the holiday houses of Les Maisons, however, you only have access to three German-language channels, which are regularly offered via the local cable provider.

In Hotel Bosch en Zee all rooms have safety rails in the bathrooms. In Hotel In den Brouwery some type E studios, from the 2020 season all type E studios have brackets.

Minimum stays are an essential means for vacation hotels to prevent accommodation from becoming vacant for certain periods (often during the week). Our accommodations almost only have holiday guests and no business guests who stay during the week.

We would like to offer everyone a nice weekend stay, but if we would reserve as standard for 1, 2 or 3 nights, we must sell no to guests who would like to book one or two weeks because the weekends are already fully booked.

As you will understand, it is also necessary for our company and our employees to have a constantly filled accommodation and therefore to be able to offer everyone full-time work. Unfortunately, you can't live off a hotel that is empty during the week.

We understand that not every guest knows this in advance, but in places where business guests also spend the night, you can often book short stays during the weekend. Unfortunately, we do not have this in the natural surroundings of Domburg and therefore minimum stays are necessary.

The tourist tax amounts to € 2.10 per person per night. We must calculate this for each person. This concerns a passed on tax, which means that it does not benefit us, but that we have to collect this tax and immediately pay it back to the municipality.

Please note that it is only possible for us to calculate tourist tax on the number of people for your entire stay. Therefore, if your composition changes during your stay, we must charge tourist tax on the maximum number of people for the entire stay. If this results in major differences, we will gladly look for a solution with you -during your stay-.

Please note that it is a legal requirement, and certainly in the case of holiday homes of great importance, as this forms the basis for the beds to be covered and the towels to be provided, in order to specify the correct number of people when booking.

As of 2022, we will charge a contribution of €0.20 per overnight stay as a contribution to the events in the seaside resort of Domburg. This amount will benefit the events organized by the Domburg business association (OBD). Here you contribute to all events, from bouncy castles and treasure hunts for the children, to music performances and the statues festival.

The contribution concerns a collective initiative of the hotels in Domburg and is used as a mandatory surcharge per night.

In the 2022 season, €3000.00 was contributed from this levy to the Domburg Aktief Foundation (general events) and €500.00 was contributed to Jazz by the Sea 2022.

In addition to the contribution from this fund, the following events and associations are supported from their own budget;

With your overnight stay with us you contribute to a healthy club life in Domburg and you support the local population.

Unfortunately it is not technically possible for us to send a confirmation immediately after receiving your deposit. However, if you send us an e-mail, we will gladly confirm the receipt of your payment in writing. Please note that the receipt may take a few days, so we request that you contact us for a confirmation of receipt only a few days after payment.

Unfortunately, we have been hearing from our guests for several months that Gmail users receive incorrect data in Google Calendar for their stay. This is done fully automatically by Gmail.

After a thorough investigation by our software supplier, it appears that this error lies with Google Gmail, their software contains an error that causes them to misread our confirmations, which are not wrong with anything.

Usually this takes the form of putting data in Google Calendar with a stay of 1 night, exactly one night before the actual booked stay. Recently we have also heard that sometimes Gmail indicates that you have booked at Hotel In den Brouwery, while you have booked another accommodation. This is again because Google reads our office address, Brouwerijweg 6, as an accommodation address, which is incorrect. The reserved accommodation is listed under your reservation, not in the salutation / address details

Naturally, we and our software supplier have asked Google to rectify this, as the problem appears to be worldwide and cannot be solved in any way by us or our supplier. Unfortunately, they have not yet responded to this.

We find the confusion very annoying, of course, for both you and us. We prefer to ask you not to work with a Gmail address when booking, in addition to this problem, there has always been the problem that Gmail too much e-mail qualifies as SPAM, so our confirmations often do not arrive.

Have you booked with a Gmail address and are you experiencing this problem? Please check the confirmed data first in your online confirmation (from Stardekk Logismanager) and then the data in our own confirmation (from Vreeke Hotels & Logementen). If these are correct, there is nothing wrong and you only have to do with the software error from Google. You can ignore this, you do not have to contact us about this, of course we would appreciate it if you would also report this problem to Google yourself to induce them to repair this software error.

Since January 1, 2019, the earlier early booking / regular guest discount has been converted into a discount when booking online. If you make your booking yourself online via the "reserve" button instead of by telephone or e-mail, you will immediately be rewarded with a € 5.00 discount per night.

Unfortunately, there is no possibility to calculate this discount if you do not book online yourself. This discount is an amount of saved labor that we would like to share with you. The work must then of course be saved, which is not the case with telephone or manual bookings.

In addition to our €5.00 discount when booking online via our own website, a hefty discount has already been calculated in the rates offered via www.vreekehotels.nl. Our standard rates are offered by, among others, Booking.com, HRS and Expedia. In addition to the €5.00, you already have a €5.00 to €20.00 per night discount on these rates via our website, depending on the period in which you are staying.

We already offer these high discounts as standard for all guests who book directly, in total this increases to a maximum of € 25.00 per accommodation per night discount. Unfortunately, we therefore do not offer additional discounts or discount promotions.

Unfortunately, we do not make options, on the one hand because of the nature of the rental (many unique homes and rooms, with the same 100 units it is much simpler) and on the other hand because nowadays everything is rented online. This means that all accommodations can be booked online 24/7 and it is therefore impossible to set up blockades here.

There are two options;

You book directly via www.vreekehotels.nl, by telephone or by e-mail;

With every hotel booking we request the guest to pay 50% of the amount (for short stays at least 1 night) within 30 days after making the booking. If you book within 30 days before arrival, we request that you pay the deposit within 48 hours.

With every apartment/holiday home (Les Maisons) booking, we ask the guest to pay 50% of the amount (for short stays minimum 1 night) within 30 days after making the booking. Then you pay the remainder by bank transfer no later than 3 weeks before arrival. If you book within 21 days before arrival, we request that you pay the entire amount within 48 hours.

You book through an online travel agency such as Booking.com or HRS:

According to the conditions of your travel agency, you pay within a few days (period stated in your confirmation) 100% of the rent. Your credit card information is therefore not required, but your travel agency may still request it to prevent fraud. We will send you a payment request to your Booking.com e-mail address upon instruction of Booking.com, as soon as payment is due. If you provide us with your own e-mail address in advance, we will preferably send it directly to you. As long as we do not have your own details, you should keep an eye on your Booking.com message box yourself.

Payments within the SEPA (practically the entire Eurozone) usually arrive within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, from January 1, 2021 we cannot debit your deposit from the credit card due to stricter regulations of Mastercard and Visa, unfortunately a credit card may no longer be used for this.

Payment in our accommodations is made in cash or by Maestro / V-Pay card. Unfortunately it is not possible to pay with a credit card. Some external travel agencies require you to be guaranteed with a credit card, but that does not mean that you also pay with this. We as the lessor determine our payment options ourselves and assume that you will be informed about this before booking.

In all our accommodations it is forbidden to smoke inside.

If we find that smoking is taking place during a stay, additional cleaning costs will be charged.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible for us, especially with accommodations where no staff is present, to determine whether someone is not following the rules during their stay. We are therefore not liable for any remaining odors from previous tenants.

However, the cases that a guest does not follow the house rules are very rare, but as you will understand, the human factor means we can never give guarantees that smoking has not taken place.

You can also reserve a beach cabin with your booking. Issue points for the keys are Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee.

At both hotel receptions you can also rent beach cabins during your stay. We offer cabins on both the Westerstrand (Oase pavilion) and Oosterstand (Stenen Toko pavilion). As of 2022, there will also be one cabin available at Dog Beach West for our guests who travel with a dog, please inquire about availability.

Depending on the location, you will receive the key at one of the hotel receptions. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will get a specific location, but we are happy to note your preference. You rent a beach cabin per day, you can collect your key in the morning and return it on your last day before closing time. We ask you to pay attention to this so that you do not unnecessarily occupy the beach cabin for subsequent tenants.

During the high season it is only possible to rent a beach cabin if you have also booked accommodation with us. We do not rent out specific numbers, but you can let us know if you would like to rent on the Wester or Oosterstrand, then we will do our best. From the 2021 season, we will also have a booth at Dog Beach West available for dog owners, please inquire about this specifically.

The final cleaning of your holiday home is included in your online price. We also provide towels, kitchen towels and bed linen for the number of people specified.

Holiday homes are rented out on a self-service basis, so in between you can wash your own towels and bed linen in the existing washing machine. As an extra service, it is possible to change your towels and bed linen in one of our hotels for free for stays longer than a week.

When you book online via www.vreekehotels.nl you can reserve a beach cabin directly with your stay. Have you already booked? Send us your reservation number by e-mail and we will be happy to reserve a beach cabin for you.

Please note that beach cabins are only offered when booking through our own channels. If you book through a third party such as Booking.com, it is only possible to book a cabin on site.

Because our beach cabins are a service to our bathers, it is unfortunately not possible to reserve a beach cabin without reserving an accommodation within our group.

The receptions of Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee open during the season (approximately 1.4 to 1.11) until 6 p.m.

If you wish to arrive after closing time, please contact the reception by telephone on your arrival day around 4 p.m., you will receive a personal code with which you can retrieve your key 24 hours a day from the present key safe. You can therefore check in 24 hours a day.

Our beach cabins are located on the main beaches of Domburg, unfortunately we cannot reserve specific cabin numbers or beaches. However, please state your preference.

Unfortunately we do not have beach cabins on the dog beach.

Our cabins are equipped with 2 sun loungers, windshield, table, bench, broom, shelf and coat rack. In addition, our cabins are equipped with an extra sun bed.

We want to give everyone a happy holiday. If you have a pet allergy it is very important that you inform us. Pets can come anywhere in our accommodations (except Villa Elisabeth).

When your allergy is known to us, we will try to arrange you in such a way that you have a room where there have been no pets for as long as possible and we will clean the room extra well.

Because we unfortunately experience a lot of abuse of our goodwill, it is possible that we will ask you for proof of your allergy. We ask for your understanding.

We ask that you book directly with such special requests at all times and not through travel agencies such as Booking.com or HRS. They only reserve our last room for filling, it is not possible to express preferences or special wishes here.

You can book holiday rentals through Les Maisons without care and without breakfast, which is why they have much lower prices than hotel rooms.

However, you can use the breakfast buffet of Hotel In den Brouwery or Hotel Bosch en Zee for a fee. Unfortunately, our facilities are designed for hotel guests, so this is only possible at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and when booked in advance. In consultation, we look at which hotel there is room and which is the easiest for you. Rates vary from child to adult and per hotel, please inform.

Unfortunately, there have been more and more booking and review websites on the internet in recent years. Often completely controlled by algorithms and connected to major parties such as Google or Booking.com. They try to have you book through these websites for a piece of commission.

The problem is that these websites are increasingly spreading incorrect information and the conditions are not communicating properly. Almost always with higher rates and worse conditions than directly at the hotel. The result is often being stuck with a booking, even though you have not met the conditions or have been misled by incorrect information. Consider the rules regarding taking your dog, the options for parking, check-in times and facilities in our hotels.

It is a continuous process to detect these websites with incorrect information and to request them to stop spreading the wrong information. However, as you will understand, we depend on these websites for this. For this reason we therefore strongly disclaim liability if third parties distribute incorrect information about our company and you do not book through our website, but your booking does not meet the conditions. You should assume that the only correct information can be found on www.vreekehotels.nl, the official website. If you book directly, you can always fall back on this, we are responsible for the information on this website.

Dogs are allowed in Hotel In den Brouwery, Hotel Bosch en Zee and in most properties of Les Maisons Vakantiewoningen (except Brouwerijweg 35, Ewout van Dishoeckstraat 9/11 upper floors).. We allow a maximum of 1 dog per accommodation. Please note that in Hotel In den Brouwery no dogs are allowed in the rooms type A, C and F.

As of January 1, 2022, we will allow dogs in more rooms than before. This has the advantage that with direct booking it is no longer mandatory to manually request whether you can stay with a dog, as long as you indicate the dog online by selecting the "with dog" option. In the unlikely event that there is no room available where you can stay with your dog, you will hear from us in the short term. Make sure that you book the correct room type at Hotel In den Brouwery. The applicable rate is immediately calculated when booking online.

It is possible that when you book via an external website, the price for a dog is not shown and differs from the rates via our own website. Please note that due to the automated working method of online travel agencies (they normally book a room where no dogs are allowed) such as Booking.com, you must always discuss your stay with a dog here in advance. They ask you to contact them or us first and then inform you about the possibilities with the rate. Currently Booking.com charges €15.00 per night for a dog.

We always advise you to book directly via our own website for the lowest rate.

Please note that dogs are not allowed in your accommodation in areas with carpet and on furniture. These are of course not allowed in the bedrooms in holiday homes. If we find that these rules are being violated during cleaning, you may be charged extra cleaning costs. We appreciate it if you follow these rules and keep the rented accommodation tidy for yourself and other guests.

Immediately after booking you will receive a confirmation from the online reservation system that your booking has been passed on to us. We will then send you the official confirmation within 24 to 48 hours. Please note that your booking is already final immediately after making the booking.

If your official confirmation, which starts with the letter R, has not arrived, you can contact us. Pay attention; check your spam filter or junk e-mail folder before contacting us. Especially with Hotmail and Gmail addresses due to the strict settings of these providers, many e-mails do not arrive.

The bathrooms in the holiday homes do not have a hairdryer. Holiday homes are rented with self service and therefore a competitive price.

In our hotels, all bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer.

In Hotel In den Brouwery, Hotel Bosch en Zee and B&B Villa Elisabeth, we request that you leave the room before 11 am.

At the holiday homes of Les Maisons this is 10 am.

Our receptions are generally open from 8 am if you wish to leave early.

In the early and late season, based on availability, it is possible to book a late check-out at € 35.00. You may then leave the room or house no later than 6 pm. Please note, this is only possible if the accommodation is not rented out immediately after you. Usually we can only offer this definitively shortly before departure.

Wel offer two charging points at Hotel In den Brouwery.

Guests of our other accommodations can also charge their EV here, you must then reserve a parking space at Hotel In den Brouwery (€5.00 per night), you can book this directly online. If you are staying in a different accommodation, please state that you are booking this place for electric charging, because otherwise this parking space is exclusively intended for guests of Hotel In den Brouwery.

We cannot guarantee that the charging station is available. It has been agreed with the provider, Agrisnellaad, that normal cars may also park at the EV loading bays when fully occupied. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience. Most of the time, however, the places will be available.

Of course you can also charge at one of the various charging points from Agrisnellaad, EV-Box or Allego in the public parking spaces of Domburg. We also expect to open 6 charging stations in our parking lot at Traverse 3 during spring 2023, we are here waiting for a large-scale consumer connection, which unfortunately has a long waiting time.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow you to charge your car from a normal power outlet at our accommodations. The wiring is often not designed for a continuous peak load and there is a possible fire hazard. In addition, large amounts of electricity are often charged, which cannot be made transparent for us and can therefore be passed on.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to reserve specific room numbers, because we want to keep our rates low, we therefore do not reserve room numbers or floors. You can always give us your preference, we will do our very best for you. We need at least 3 room numbers to give it a reasonable chance of success. However, there is never a guarantee.

Pay attention; we can only offer this service if you book directly through us and not via Booking.com, HRS or Check24.

To understand why a commitment is impossible, it is important that you know that any preferences and wishes can only be checked manually on the day of arrival. This means that we depend on which room is changing that day and can book according to preferences.

We do not see room numbers in advance, but our system only reserves a room within the desired room type. Our employees are therefore only aware of which room the system assigns you on the day of arrival.

If your trip goes better than planned, it is of course nice if you can check in earlier!

In our hotels we like to see if your room is ready for use earlier. Please note that our staff are still busy cleaning up breakfast until 1 p.m. / 2 p.m. and therefore are not always at the counter immediately. Early check-in is a service, not a matter of course, please bear this in mind when dealing with staff. If you arrive before 12:00 it is almost always impossible to park and check in, we ask you not to report to the hotel yet, because this unnecessarily burdens our breakfast employees.

Unfortunately, this is not possible with holiday homes, as there is no staff on site. We use a cleaning company which cleans many homes between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Unfortunately, in the agreements with this company, we are not allowed to call the cleaning ladies whether a certain house has already been cleaned. Check-in is therefore only possible after 3 p.m.

At the hotels there is usually sufficient parking space, but if you arrive at a holiday home earlier than the free parking spaces are often still needed for the cleaning company and / or maintenance staff. We therefore ask you not to park your car before 3 pm at the holiday home. There are various public parking options in Domburg.

The hotel world is very digitized. On the one hand this stems from necessity, on the other also from the wishes of the modern guest.

For example, we have been using variable prices since 2018, so there are no longer any fixed price lists. We set basic prices prior to the season, but these are both manually and automatically adjusted to, among other things, weather forecasts, occupancy forecasts and various other matters.

This means that different rates may apply for the same room at different times. Sometimes the price is higher, other times it may be lower.

As you will understand, it is not possible to make a later claim if prices have fallen. You book a room at the current rate. Conversely, we do not increase the rates even if you have booked early and have a sharper rate than currently applies.

You are very welcome with your little one! However, we would like to be informed in advance of the presence of small children. In this way we try to meet everyone's wishes and to limit nuisance.

When booking you can add a baby cot. Please note, this concerns a folding bed for which you must bring your own bed linen. If you do not want a baby cot, you can only book for the number of people older than 2 years and noting your baby in the comments.

Both Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee have a lift. Please note that in both hotels the third floor is unfortunately not accessible by elevator (Hotel In den Brouwery type F, Hotel Bosch and Zee three Studios of both types). In Hotel In den Brouwery you may also have to take a few steps to reach your room due to height differences in the building. Please inquire about the best option if you visit us with a walker or wheelchair.

B&B Villa Elisabeth and the Les Maisons holiday homes do not have a lift.

We recently received questions about bookings made via the website "Check24".

We as an accommodation do not work together with this, unknown to us, party. We understand that they work together with the travel agency Booking.com. When you book through Check24, your booking will be handled by Booking.com against their conditions and rates. Booking.com has a policy of non-cancellable rates with 100% prepayment by bank.

However, we understand that Check24 incorrectly states that you would pay with your credit card. Check24 has been addressed by Booking.com for spreading this incorrect information and will remove it. Check24 can, if desired, confirm to you via their customer service that you must make 100% prepayment by bank.

Unfortunately, we do not offer insurance ourselves. Hotels are not allowed to offer insurance, only cancellation funds. Unfortunately, the risks of this are too great and therefore not appropriate for our size. There are many insurers where you can take out a continuous travel insurance for €40.00 per person per year. Please inquire with your insurance agent.

With hotel and B&B reservations you pay a percentage of the booking as your stay approaches. Please note that the Les Maisons holiday homes cannot be canceled.

For the cancellation conditions, please refer to the cancellation conditions under "your stay".

Prevent a lot of annoyance for us, but especially for yourself, by taking out cancellation- and travelinsurance. We are forced to strictly apply the cancellation conditions.

The sending of medical statements or proof of hospitalization is not necessary. You have to cover your risks through insurance, as you will understand, as a hotel we cannot take over your risk and / or damage.

We are of course happy that you found us via an external website. However, these companies apply their own rates and conditions for bookings in our accommodations. You choose your own rate and associated conditions.

Cancellation or alteration will therefore be made at all times through the company where you have booked and under the conditions under which you have booked there. Unfortunately it is not possible to approach us to make exceptions to this.

After all, a room is often no longer rented out, for which, for example, only 20% or 40% cancellation costs have been paid. When it is stated that we should not charge any costs for re-letting, it is in fact also stated that in the latter situation we should still charge 100%. In other words, it implies that all prices should be fully refundable or non-refundable. We prefer a graduated scale linked to the average damage we suffer over all cancellations in a year.

Unfortunately, it is therefore not possible to refund or credit (part of) the cancellation costs for any rooms that are still rented out.

By way of illustration, we would like to inform you that in 2020 and 2021 we processed hundreds of thousands of euros in cancellations, which were subsequently not re-let.

It is of course very annoying if you test positive for covid-19 shortly before arrival. In the Netherlands, a PCR test is no longer mandatory in this phase of the pandemic, but you are still advised to stay at home.

However, this does not mean that the cancellation conditions no longer apply to your booking. These kinds of risks can be covered by the guest himself, almost every travel insurance policy covers covid contamination shortly before arrival since January 2022. You will then receive a refund from your insurance company for the cancellation costs incurred. We will of course provide you with the necessary documentation. This of course means that in a legal sense there is no question of force majeure; it is a risk to be covered.

It makes no sense to send us proofs of contamination and the like, this does not release you from the obligations arising from the rental agreement.

If you do not feel comfortable traveling and the associated risks during these times, we advise you not to make a booking. Unfortunately, for stable business operations in tourist hotels, it is not possible to offer you the option to cancel until the day of arrival (which you can cover yourself through your travel insurance).

UPDATE October 2022; We are currently reaching a lot of requests to make an exception to the cancellation conditions due to a covid-19 contamination. Unfortunately, we have found that the urgent request for insurance is rarely heeded. Once again we emphasize that an accommodation cannot and may not be expected to take over the financial damage caused by not insuring the guest. Unfortunately, the cancellation conditions are always applied.

In April 2020, a few weeks after introducing measures against the spread of Covid-19, we started a special promotion to compensate guests who incurred cancellation costs in the period from March 15, 2020 to May 1, 2020. Everyone who was eligible for the promotion received an email with an explanation and conditions.

In short, the promotion means that you can spend the amount you paid in cancellation costs again in a period when the hotel will not be fully booked. This last condition is important because the cancellation costs were rightly levied at the time, we were open as a hotel accommodation and therefore the guest's choice to cancel was voluntary. At the same time, we understand the considerations and are therefore happy to accommodate you. Logically, this is only possible on days when we do not rent out a room or apartment regularly (paying).

Four years later, 97% of guests have already taken advantage of the promotion, most of them directly in 2020 or 2021 and for others we have always had periods in December and January. Even though almost everyone has taken advantage of the promotion, we want to continue this promotion to give everyone the opportunity to take advantage of the discount. That is why we will continue the promotion in the coming years, on request, in November, December, January and February on weekdays. You can also book weekend stays, but Fridays and Saturdays are always charged. For example, you can enjoy a 2-day discount if you book 4 nights from Thursday to Monday. Please contact us with your booking wishes in relation to the discount promotion, but we request that you take the aforementioned condition regarding the days into account in your request in advance.

We regret when you have to go home earlier during your vacation due to illness or other circumstances.

We would like to point out that, precisely in order to prevent these situations, we strongly advise you to take out travel insurance in our conditions. These can already be taken out for a few euros per week and cover a possible earlier departure.

This prevents a lot of annoyance for us, but especially for yourself.

We hope that you understand, all the more so because we indicate through our terms and conditions that you are responsible for insurance, that we as a hotel cannot bear your deductible and / or damage associated with an earlier departure. Unfortunately, there is therefore no possibility of a refund of the rent.

We offer one parking space for all holiday homes. This is at the home, or at a nearby location. For more information you can look at the dwelling-specific information.

Do you want to come with more cars? You must then book an extra (paid) parking space at Traverse 3, this option can be found in the booking system.

During the season homes are normally directly occupied by new guests, which means that new guests also like to park their car on time. Furthermore we need parkingplaces for our cleaning company and our technical service. You are entitled to the parking space until your check-out time. There is plenty of public parking in Domburg, but we also offer you the opportunity to park your car on our site at Traverse 3 for a few hours until your check-in time.

If you are staying with us during the low season, you can feel free to inquire at the desk whether it is still possible to leave your car longer if the accommodation is not full. Or sometimes we also offer arrangements for late checkout, including parking.

You can store your bicycles with each accommodation. Sometimes in an enclosed space, sometimes in the garage, sometimes in a covered garage. Bicycle parking is usually not lockable, but it is safe.

At Hotel Bosch en Zee you can park your bicycles under the building in the parking basement.

At Hotel In den Brouwery there is a covered bicycle shed in the parking lot, out of sight. Here you can secure your bicycles with a chain, if you wish.

We hardly know any crime in Domburg and electric bicycles are common in the Netherlands and are therefore not considered valuable by thieves. So you don't have to worry that your belongings are not safe.

You can reserve bicycles directly with your booking, please note that we only offer this service with direct booking through our own channels and not through travel agencies such as Booking.com. Issuing points are Hotel In den Brouwery and Hotel Bosch en Zee. We only rent standard city bikes.

At both hotel receptions you can also go for carts or bicycle rental during your stay, even if you have booked through a travel agency.

Bicycles are rented per day, we therefore ask you to return the key before closing time of the reception, or otherwise at 08:00 in the morning.

In our hotels you have access to 27 additional German channels via satellite. In total, in addition to the Dutch, Flemish and some other international channels, you have 30 German-language channels at your disposal.

In B&B Villa Elisabeth and the holiday houses of Les Maisons, however, you only have access to three German-language channels, which are regularly offered via the local cable provider.

In all holiday homes you will find a baby chair and a small baby bed as standard. Please note that a folding bed of 77 centimeters only concerns babies. Unfortunately we cannot offer large children's beds, they sleep in normal beds or in their own bed.

Minimum stays are an essential means for vacation hotels to prevent accommodation from becoming vacant for certain periods (often during the week). Our accommodations almost only have holiday guests and no business guests who stay during the week.

We would like to offer everyone a nice weekend stay, but if we would reserve as standard for 1, 2 or 3 nights, we must sell no to guests who would like to book one or two weeks because the weekends are already fully booked.

As you will understand, it is also necessary for our company and our employees to have a constantly filled accommodation and therefore to be able to offer everyone full-time work. Unfortunately, you can't live off a hotel that is empty during the week.

We understand that not every guest knows this in advance, but in places where business guests also spend the night, you can often book short stays during the weekend. Unfortunately, we do not have this in the natural surroundings of Domburg and therefore minimum stays are necessary.

The tourist tax amounts to € 2.10 per person per night. We must calculate this for each person. This concerns a passed on tax, which means that it does not benefit us, but that we have to collect this tax and immediately pay it back to the municipality.

Please note that it is only possible for us to calculate tourist tax on the number of people for your entire stay. Therefore, if your composition changes during your stay, we must charge tourist tax on the maximum number of people for the entire stay. If this results in major differences, we will gladly look for a solution with you -during your stay-.

Please note that it is a legal requirement, and certainly in the case of holiday homes of great importance, as this forms the basis for the beds to be covered and the towels to be provided, in order to specify the correct number of people when booking.

As of 2022, we will charge a contribution of €0.20 per overnight stay as a contribution to the events in the seaside resort of Domburg. This amount will benefit the events organized by the Domburg business association (OBD). Here you contribute to all events, from bouncy castles and treasure hunts for the children, to music performances and the statues festival.

The contribution concerns a collective initiative of the hotels in Domburg and is used as a mandatory surcharge per night.

In the 2022 season, €3000.00 was contributed from this levy to the Domburg Aktief Foundation (general events) and €500.00 was contributed to Jazz by the Sea 2022.

In addition to the contribution from this fund, the following events and associations are supported from their own budget;

  • LTC Domburg (tennis)
  • Domburg football association
  • Ringrijders association Domburg
  • Domburgsche Gaaischieterss
  • Domburg fairground foundation

With your overnight stay with us you contribute to a healthy club life in Domburg and you support the local population.

If you travel alone, we can offer you a few single rooms at Hotel In den Brouwery. These rooms are somewhat smaller and therefore lower priced.

In the low season you can also book double rooms for single occupancy in selected periods. We do not offer this option in the mid and high season, where all rooms must be rented out at full occupancy and room price.

Of course it is possible to stay with one person in a double room, but unfortunately, if no special price is offered online, no discounts can be given. An often advanced argument is that there are savings on energy, water and breakfast. However, these are marginal costs of a hotel, the largest costs are in staff and cleaning. Unfortunately, this is not saved for single use.

Unfortunately we cannot allow a dog or other pet in B&B Villa Elisabeth. With your dog you are very welcome in our other accommodations.

The new accommodation will open its doors in the spring of 2024.
